Caroline is an associate in the transactional section at Vela Wood. She advises and counsels investors, entrepreneurs, startups, and established businesses with an emphasis on entity formation, capital raises, mergers and acquisitions, and general business transactions. Caroline also has extensive knowledge of the evolving legal landscape of the fantasy sports industry. She is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association and is a Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) Certified Agent.

.Brandon Ricks is the Principal of Ricks Entertainment Group, a creative consulting company servicing clients in the media, music and entertainment industry. His work is done through providing thought leadership, strategic direction, and project management for creative projects.
Prior to launching Ricks Ent. Group, Brandon worked at I Am Second as the head of Music Marketing. He was the co-producer and project manager of The End of Malice documentary currently streaming on NETFLIX. Brandon received his introduction into the music industry through an internship at Universal Records promotions offices where he learned the art and science of radio relations and record promotion. He is a native of Orange County, CA and an avid Raiders fan. He currently resides in Plano with his wife and three kids.

Ashley is an experienced education leader who likes to solve problems and build things from the ground-up. She has a track record of imagining and launching new ideas (+ helping others to do the same), building community in pursuit of a collective vision, and managing teams to help students reach their greatest potential. Ashley is curious about people, their stories, and their ideas and how to harness the power of all three to make the world a better place.
She recently joined architecture firm HKS as Vice President and Education Strategist to bridge academics and architecture and advance teaching and learning through the built environment. Prior to HKS, Ashley led the Dallas Independent School District's efforts to reimagine the educational experience for students through the implementation of personalized learning districtwide. She started her career as a middle school Spanish teacher and coach of new teachers.
Ashley graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2009 with dual degrees in the Plan II and Business Honors programs and from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2012 with a Master’s in Education Policy and Management.

Chirag is the Founder of NōD Coworking located in Texas. His background is in computer science, economics, linguistics, and music — currently he is working behind the scenes at 1 Million Cups, Dallas Startup Week, Fathom Software and ProjectUX (both of which are headquartered at NōD Coworking). Kristin Leiber is thrilled to serve Dallas Startup Week for her second year, this time as the Hospitality Track Co-Captain and a member of the DSW18 Planning Committee for Special Events! As a CPA with a background in accounting/finance but with a heart for people, Kristin now spends her time founding The L3 Hostel, a forthcoming Downtown Dallas hostel and lounge. A passion project of many years, The L3 Hostel is a Dallas-based travel community championing affordable, modern travel and promoting the sharing of spaces, lives, and experiences worldwide. Additionally, she freelances as a conference and event planner, most recently for The Power of One Conference, a conscious and intention living conference in Grapevine, TX, as well as a coordinator at The Dallas Entrepreneur Center. Equally as important as her career activities are Kristin’s volunteer commitments as an ambassador for Sofar Sounds, which creates intimate, pop-up, live music experiences in everyday spaces, as well as an advocate for foster children with Dallas CASA.
