In case you didn’t know, we are back using Sched to feature our DSW17 schedule. For our first year attendees who are completely new to this concept to our DSW15 attendees who need a refresher on how to plan your schedule, follow the pictorial below.
If you already have a Sched account, login. Otherwise, you can create your account & set up your profile so that other attendees can see who is going to different events. We’re using Shawnee’s (our blog & social media manager) Sched profile as a demonstration. By the way, make sure you edit your profile & include your website URL, name, company, company position, email address, and link your social media accounts.
When you log onto Sched, this is the home page where you can see the entire schedule for the week, speaker profiles, sponsors, attendee profiles, etc.
Scroll through the schedule and find events that you are interested in attending. We’re going to register for the Don Julio Happy Hour at Chase Basecamp. Click on the event to read more details, if you wish.
There is a blank bubble next to each event name, which means that you are currently not registered for the event. Click on the bubble to add an event to your personal schedule. You will know an event is added to your schedule because the blank bubble will be filled in with a checkmark. You can also share individual events via social media or copy/paste the direct link.
Repeat steps 2 & 3 until you complete your schedule. You can always remove events by clicking on the bubble again and it will go back to being blank.
To see your complete schedule, click on your profile picture and a drop down menu should appear. Click on My Sched. In this mode, you’ll only see events that you have registered for. You also have the option to access your schedule via mobile, print, save it as a PDF, or emailing it directly to your inbox, as highlighted in the photo.
