.Brandon Ricks is the Principal of Ricks Entertainment Group, a creative consulting company servicing clients in the media, music and entertainment industry. His work is done through providing thought leadership, strategic direction, and project management for creative projects.
Prior to launching Ricks Ent. Group, Brandon worked at I Am Second as the head of Music Marketing. He was the co-producer and project manager of The End of Malice documentary currently streaming on NETFLIX. Brandon received his introduction into the music industry through an internship at Universal Records promotions offices where he learned the art and science of radio relations and record promotion. He is a native of Orange County, CA and an avid Raiders fan. He currently resides in Plano with his wife and three kids.

Why did you get involved with Dallas Startup Week?
I am passionate about innovation and the progression of the music industry in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex.
What are you looking forward to in being a Track Captain?
I am excited to have the opportunity to curate compelling and informative content to equip aspiring musicians and music professionals with the resources they need to advance their careers.

The energy and excitement around the flow of creative ideas and information.

How will your expertise contribute to Dallas Startup Week?
I have spent the entirety of my adult life growing in my knowledge of the music, arts, and entertainment industry. I have a strong ability to take conceptual ideas and meld them with strategic thinking in order to bring big ideas into fruition. I love sharing what I've learned and I'm always looking for opportunities to help my fellow colleagues grow.
