(DALLAS, March 2018; source: CultureHype)- Techstars Startup Week Dallas is excited to announce its fourth annual five-day entrepreneurial getaway that gives local entrepreneurs the opportunity to get further plugged into the Dallas community and expand their network. This year, they aim to bring in a whopping 7,000 attendees from across the region. With 14 confirmed event tracks and Chase for Business as the headlining sponsor, the personal growth and networking possibilities will be endless. Chase for Business has great expertise working with more than four million small business owners around the country and teaming up with them means access to great resources, information and support that can make our ecosystem even stronger. Other key sponsors include: Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, BCG, Zendesk, Worldwide Express, Salesforce and Thomson Reuters.
“Dallas continues to emerge as a major startup hub with so many entrepreneurs choosing to start and grow their business here,” said Susie Leinbaugh, Dallas market manager of Chase Business Banking. “As the state’s largest bank with 780,000 Texas business customers, we’re proud to sponsor Techstars Startup Week Dallas for the fourth consecutive year. We’re committed to helping our local entrepreneurs succeed.”
With a wide array of speakers covering every track, a multitude of local and regional entrepreneurs, community leaders, investors and businesses are suiting up to attend or speak at sessions and events taking place throughout the week. Chase Basecamp at Ross Tower in Downtown Dallas is the week’s hub of activities for networking, food, happy hours and 75+ scheduled programs to choose. The Dallas Entrepreneur Center, the leadership team, and all the volunteers will be playing an integral role in helping facilitate the flow and effectiveness of these sessions.
This year’s new tracks include Capital/Funding, Corporate Innovation, Digital Marketing and Emerging Technology with correlating sessions such as “Capital Formation: Funding Your Dream,” “Inclusive Leadership,” “Build a Better Personal Brand,” and “Blockchain 101.” Making a return this year will be the tracks Art and Music, Gaming, Health, IoT, Legal, and Real Estate with correlating sessions such as “Building A Music City,” “A Happy Marriage,” “Hospital Innovation,” “Smart Cities,” “Starting a Business,” and “Real Estate Disrupter.”
In addition, Techstars Startup Week Dallas will be reaching new heights by spreading its sessions and programming across the region, from Dallas to Fort Worth, Frisco, Denton, and Addison. This way, individuals, companies and local organizations from different cities can get involved and have more accessibility to the opportunities offered by Techstars Startup Week Dallas.
“I think what we need to do to effectively showcase and highlight who we are as a region and what our companies are doing, we need to recognize we’re not just one city of entrepreneurs,” said Trey Bowles, cofounder and CEO of The DEC and lead organizer for Techstars Startup Week Dallas, in an interview with Dallas Innovates. “We’re a 9,200-square-mile region of entrepreneurs.”
